Above are the first 3 stanzas of a Hymn आनन्दलहरी / ānandalaharī composed by the Great sage śrīśaṅkarācārya / श्रीशङ्कराचार्य, in praise of Goddess gaurīṃ / गौरी .
śrīśaṅkarācārya / श्रीशङ्कराचार्य was born in a village in Kerala; -the extreme southern-end of India, and He wrote this Hymn in praise of नगपतिकिशोरी / nagapatikiśorī --Goddess gaurī / गौरी.
gaurī / गौरी, Consort of Lord शिव / śiva , the Mother Goddess who is daughter of the Great Himalayan (हिमालय / himālaya) Mountain Range. Here, नगपति-किशोरी / nagapati-kiśorī is thus an address to Her.
The word Saffron literally means काश्मीर / kāśmīra which is the Saffron Valley.

The word Saffron literally means काश्मीर / kāśmīra which is the Saffron Valley.
ललाटे / lalāṭe in संस्कृत / saṃskṛta, means 'upon the forehead'.
This is indicated that the Goddess gaurī / गौरी is ललिता / lalitā / लल्लेश्वरी / lalleśvarī .
By the way historically too, there was a Kashmiri woman sage named लल्लेश्वरी / lalleśvarī.
We can see How śrīśaṅkarācārya / श्रीशङ्कराचार्य addressed the Goddess gaurī / गौरी, Who is at the Ethereal level Consort of Lord शिव / śiva , at the Geographical level the Spirit of India as a nation as well.
Some might have scared of saffron-phobia (?), and yet talk of Sovereignty of काश्मीर / kāśmīra, but isn't 'Saffron' itself the True identity and the 'real' name of काश्मीर / kāśmīra ?
Could we destroy, or separate काश्मीर / kāśmīra from India?
It is time we stand for and in favor of काश्मीर / kāśmīra and कश्मीरियत / kāśmīriyat.
And to the Historical fact that India and काश्मीर / kāśmīra are and have been inseparable since the times immemorial.
