Gabriella Burnel on Festival of Bharat

नन्दति नृत्यति ..... आनन्दः
--
मैंने इस ब्लॉग में कितने ही पोस्ट्स संस्कृत की विशेषताओं पर लिखे हैं।
मुझे यह कहने में संकोच नहीं कि
Gabriella Burnel

narrates the story of  'Death' / मृत्यु / mṛtyu / मृत्युं / mṛtyuṃ ; -the daughter of  यम (मृत्यु) / yama (mṛtyu) Who is the Death-Lord in Veda.
मृत्युं / mṛtyuṃ begot the son कृष्ट / kṛṣṭa / वेन / vena .
King वेन / vena, being son of Death  मृत्यु / mṛtyu / मृत्युं / mṛtyuṃ had deadly Spirit.
He did great destruction and killed thousands and acquired power. King  वेन / vena was then defeated by ऋषि / ṛṣi / who then operated His right arm (right is the symbolic of Veda) and therefrom the son of King Vena was born who was pious in the Spirit.
This is what resembles the story (or myth?) of  Merriam and Christ. Christ (यशस् / yaśas)
Who is / was twice born, was a 'dwija' द्विज / dvija that is 'Brahman' / Brahman (Class).
In a way The whole story is but a modification of the story of Veda.
ऋग्वेद मंडल 10 / ṛgveda maṃḍala 10 refers this as  वैन्य-योग / vainya-yoga .
Again the dialogue between Lord Siva and him is in the form of
  विरूपाक्ष संहिता / virūpākṣa saṃhitā
Whatever be the History and the missing links, this tells and explains many things.

1. 'dharma' (one of the 4 purusharth that takes one to the Supreme goal and meaning of life, namely, dharma, artha, kAma and mokSha) that is discrimination between the lasting and the temporary nature of things and following that stays for ever, is the only true friend of humans that keeps company always. When one sticks to 'dharma' one finds satisfaction and solace, and then ultimately the peace unending.
