‘The What is?’ and ‘The Who is’

The Discovery of The Supreme Reality is a timeless movement in Consciousness, without a beginning and an end. Simply because beginning and end pertain to time. Still there has been a traditional approach and a non-traditional approach as well.
As The Supreme Reality has always been available to, and attained by the earnest, deserving seekers irrespective of individual’s race, cast, clan, sex, occupation, and also of one’s intellectual, emotional, temperamental, traditional or non-traditional mind-set, but only upon his deepest urge that may have been trigered by one or numerous reasons in one.
As the urge to find out and reach, to attain the core of existence is latent in all creatures, but in expression not so conspicuous, traditions came into being which overpowered this urge in the individual and ...
This timeless movement of Consciousness in Consciousness itself and beyond is what is the essential nature of the whole existence manifest or not so manifest.
The word ‘timeless’ is though an approximate translation, does not convey the sense so exactly as is expressed by the word सनातन धर्म / sanātana-dharma .
How the language of man evolved and took turns in various ways is beautifully explained in
श्रीदेवीअथर्वशीर्षम् / śrīdevīatharvaśīrṣam / and ऋग्वेद / ṛgveda .
This may be noted that there is a language of man that evolves and dissolves in ‘time’, there is also a language of man that is timeless in itself. ‘Timeless’ in the sense as said above as
सनातन धर्म / sanātana-dharma.
The two sources cited above, namely श्रीदेवीअथर्वशीर्षम् / śrīdevīatharvaśīrṣam / and ऋग्वेद / ṛgveda, at first sight seem to be a repetition and one is inadvertantly inclined to believe that one of the two is prior to another.
This is how we fail to see that वेद / Veda is not a ‘book’ or ‘text’ that was ‘written’ in ‘time’, at a perticular point, but is the description of the ‘timeless’ itself also.
To understand in a better way, let us compare the evolution of Science. The ‘Laws’ that are discovered in Science hold universly and timelessly, in whatever spoken / written language they are expressed in the language of man.
So language and time are no barrier in functioning of those laws.
This is called वेद-विधानम् / veda-vidhānam .. in the perspective of वेद / Veda.
The very incidence that is described in the two aforesaid texts has the same origin in ‘timelessness’ that is
सनातन धर्म / sanātana-dharma.
.. The gist is :
The Language that is as preliminarily an expression of sounds, is comprised of aggregates of different phonemes that constitute the ‘word’.
This ‘phoneme’ is not only the sound but energy that is fire.
Let us take a detour here.
sound (sonal / sonic), fire (spirit), create the ‘word’.
This ‘Fire’ is the First Reality / Spirituality that is at the root of this whole manifest (and what we call non-manifest, -potential).
This First Reality known by man is present though ‘timelessly’, we say it ‘the First’ because of our notion of time in terms of earlier and later. This notion is but hypothetical and we can’t imagine this not the Ultimate truth / Reality.
The Evolution of Species is on the other hand a movement / process ‘in time’ that is subject to our above notion of time.
Now the narration of the 2 texts.
Man used to speak the language that is spoken by animals.
This language that is the consequence of phonemes and subsequent ‘word’ was though useful in day-to-day living to some extent, was not as much pure and immaculate as the sounds (which are as fire and word) are in the first place.
वेद / Veda and वेद-विधानम् / veda-vidhānam .. maintain and rule that these sounds are the essential manifest Cosmic entities endowed with consciousness as well.
In a single word these entities are called देवता / devatā .
And there is categorical discription of all them that forms
the वर्ण-मातृका / varṇa-mātṛkā, ‘Matrix of letters’.
Thus we have a firm support where-upon the language has foundation.
The narration tells:
In the first place देवता / devatā -the वर्ण-मातृका / varṇa-mātṛkā, ‘Matrix of letters’ created ‘अदिति / aditi’ Who was a Concious entity Herself like these देवता / devatā devatā -the वर्ण-मातृका / varṇa-mātṛkā,. who Created Her.
And than ‘अदिति / aditi’ in turn created ‘ देवता / devatā -the वर्ण-मातृका / varṇa-mātṛkā, in their purest and immaculate form, -which again resulted in a ‘language’ that is the speech and is spoken by these
‘ देवता / devatā’.
This tells us more about the ‘timeless-nature’ of a language.

Thus, the legend of अदिति / aditi and the evolution of language at two levels namely ‘in time’ and ‘irrespective’ of ‘time’ are two independent phenomena.
While वेद / Veda and ‘ देवता / devatā’ are Timeless Reality, have been encrypted in written form as Veda – the texts and ‘देवता / devatā’ as sounds of standard form and wavelength, vibrations that are the very bricks and foundation of the phenomenal existence.
This is the essence of सनातन धर्म / sanātana-dharma, known to a few from the very beginning and was handed down to next generations in different epochs of the history of human-civilization.
ऋषि / ṛṣi were the link that was kept intact and is still working though only a few have direct access to this wisdom. This is the Traditional approach also known as सनातन धर्म / sanātana-dharma,
Then in some remote past deterioration in this tradition occurred and gained prevalence.
यह्वः / yahva in Veda serves as an evident example and clue to let us see how Tradition modified the whole perspective and the concept of The Supreme Reality as ‘one’ or ‘more than one’ entered and developed in time.
श्रीदेवीअथर्वशीर्षम् / śrīdevīatharvaśīrṣam / and ऋग्वेद / ṛgveda maintain that this Supreme Reality is ‘One’ as well as ‘many’, and does not stop at that but also points out that this Supreme Reality is as well शून्या-अशून्या, śūnyā-aśūnyā and has the quality of Zero and non-Zero as well.
The Wisdom of ऋषि / ṛṣi of श्रीदेवीअथर्वशीर्षम् / śrīdevīatharvaśīrṣam / and ऋग्वेद / ṛgveda knew that Zero and non-zero, ‘one’ and ‘many’ are but mathematical notions only while The Supreme Reality is not a subject to intellect / notion.

“अहं ब्रह्माब्रह्मणी वेदितव्ये ।
ahaṃ brahmābrahmaṇī veditavye” explain in nut-shell how Tradition evolved and took two distinct and quite opposite paths that became contradictory in time.
The two Traditions thus branched out from the Core respectively into :
ब्राह्मण-धर्म / वर्णाश्रम-धर्म / सनातन-धर्म
brāhmaṇa-dharma / varṇāśrama-dharma / sanātana-dharma, and
अब्राह्मण-धर्म (The Tradition of Abraham).

YHVH
...
Authority thus relegated this urge to tradition as religion and spirituality to spiritualism and spirit-ism.
