The Seven (7)

The Seven (7)
--
seven (remember September is seventh-month, not the ninth?) symbolizes serpent. Be it कुण्डलिनी / Kundalini, arising of कुण्डलिनी / Kundalini (The Serpent / (सर्पंत > one that slides / moves like snake)  or the seven चक्र chakras. Again there is seven मातृका  / 'MatrikAs' who were mother to 'Lord Skanda' A वैदिक / Vedika / पौराणिक  PaurANika entity. These seven Matrika constitute बीजाक्षर  / 'beejAkShara' This has been borrowed in Mathematics etc. as the 'Matrix'. The word मात्रा / 'Matter' too comes from मातृका  / MatrikA / मृदा mRdA (earth) / मृडा / मृडाणी  / mRDA is another name of the Goddess पार्वती Parvati > the daughter of पर्वत / Mountain. .Serpents on the other hand are the supposed to bear over them the globe / earth. Their abode is called नाग-लोक / 'Naga-loka'. This is also true because Serpents tend to enter and deeper levels of earth. Serpents are the 7 fire-flames said to be सप्त-यह्वी: /  'sapta-yahvIH' (feminine plural form of yahva) in ऋग्वेद / Rgveda, while the same word सप्त-यह्व: / 'sapta-yahvaH' (masculine form of yahva), has been given to 7 horses that drive the chariot of the Sun (God). In the आधिभौतिक / Adhibhautika > strictly physical sense, these are symbolized in this way, while in the आधिदैविक / Adhi-daivika > the subtler plane of consciousness they are treated as the powers that control and govern the आधिभौतिक / Adhibhautika. In the pure Spiritual (आध्यात्मिक / AdhyAtmika) sense, these 7  आधिदैविक / Adhidaivika > Spiritual powers and Strictly Material aspects are manifestations of the same Unique Principle that is named variously according to the respective aspect. Thus, 33 देवता / 'devatA' are but a function of the same Supreme Power that manifests Itself as the existence, seed (बीज) of existence, maintains and dissolves its own creation (सृष्टि / SRShTi). At individual level this appears as a 'world' of 7 dimensions (सप्तलोकाः / sapta-lokAH).. These 7 lokAs  (सप्तलोकाः) again, are categorized in higher lower and the lowest levels / planes according to their characteristic aspects.

Again,
Though 7 rays of white light (spectrum) too comes from संस्कृत / sanskrit सप्त-क्रम  / 'sapta-krama' > a sequence / order of 7, The 7 planets are related to each other in a different way in वेद / Veda and पुराण  /PurANa. They don't own the same / equal status as the 7 colors / rays of light hold. Shiva-AtharvasheerSha mentions 8 planets and 8 equals / counterparts of them (grahAH / pratigrahAH ) the 7 colors and the 2 ultra-violet+infrared together are treated as one. You can co-relate them as the planets. Dragon's head (Rahu) and Dragon's tail (Ketu) respectively.

Next comes the 7 sound-notes
(सप्त-स्वन / सप्त-स्वर / नुति )
--
In this way the 7 dimensions of the existence are inter-dependent and mutually related.
