विचार का अनुभव और अनुभव का विचार

प्रायः ऐसा लगता है कि विचार का अनुभव और अनुभव का विचार एक ही स्थिति के दो पक्ष हैं । सीधें कहें तो विचार अनुभव का शब्दीकरण है जबकि अनुभव मूलतः केवल शुद्ध शब्दरहित संवेदन है । शुद्ध शब्दरहित संवेदन पर शब्द / विचार रूपी आवरण चढ़ाए जाते ही वह शुद्ध शब्दरहित संवेदन स्मृति अर्थात् पहचान बन जाता है । न तो स्मृति पहचान से रहित हो सकती है और न पहचान स्मृति से रहित । स्मृति और पहचान दोनों परस्पर आश्रित घटना है । इसलिए विचारों की क़ैद से मुक्त होने का कोई प्रश्न ही नहीं है । एकमात्र महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न यह है कि शुद्ध शब्दरहित संवेदन को किस प्रकार से विचार से दूषित होने से रोका जा सकता है । विचार अपने या पराए नहीं होते । वे चित्त में आते-जाते रहते हैं और स्पष्ट है कि उनकी भूमिका चाहे-अनचाहे अतिथि से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण नहीं हो सकती । जब तक अपनी उस वास्तविकता पर हमारा ध्यान नहीं जाता जो आतिथेय (host) है, अतिथि (guest) नहीं, तब तक विचारों / विचार से मुक्ति नहीं ।

Experience of Thought/ Thought (idea) of Experience.

We usually tend to feel that Experience of Thought and Thought of experience is one and the same thing. Though on examining closely, with due attention, one can see Thought is verbalization of Experience while Experience in its pure form of perception is wordless. So, as soon as this perception is covered-up under the cloak of word(s) / thought, the same gets stained, distorted and becomes 'memory'. 'Memory' is another term for 'Recognition' and 'Recognition for 'Memory'. None of the duo exists independently on its own. So the real question is not :
"How to free oneself from being a prisoner to Thought(s)?".
The real question is rather :
"How to see this nature of Thought as a single movement in the form of either the 'Memory'or the 'Recognition'?".
Thought is never 'my' or 'your' ... Thought(s), following the pattern of Memory / Recognition as is stored in the individual brain, keep appearing and disappearing in brain incessantly. Our liking, dislikes, fears, doubts, too follow the same pattern. So there is no question :
"How to cease to be a prisoner of  Thought(s)?"
The crucial question is :
"Do we see carefully, with keen attention the nature of thought and its movement in the forms of Memory and Recognition?" Thought as guest comes into and goes away from consciousness (neither my nor some-one other's). The consciousness is but the Host. As long as we don't look at the supporting consciousness, where-in all perception takes place, and cling to the idea (Thought again!) that Thought(s) are 'my' and claim authority over them, we can't have hope for freedom from Thought.
