karuṇāpūrṇasudhābdhe
kabalitaghanaviśvarūpakiraṇāvalyā ||
aruṇācalaparamātman
aruṇo bhava cittakañjasuvikāsāya ||1
tvayyaruṇācala sarvaṃ
bhūtvā sthitvā pralīnametaccitram ||
hṛdyahamityātmatayā
nṛtyasi bhoste vadanti hṛdayaṃ nāma ||2
ahamiti kuta āyātī ---
tyanviṣyāntaḥ praviṣṭayā:'tyamaladhiyā ||
avagamya svaṃ rūpaṃ 
śāmyatyaruṇācala tvayi nadīvābdhau ||3
tyaktvāviṣayaṃ bāhyaṃ
ruddhaprāṇena ruddhamanasā:'ntastvām ||
dhyāyanpaśyati yogī
dīdhitimaruṇācala tvayi mahīyaṃ te ||4
tvayyarpitamanasā tvāṃ
paśyansarvaṃ tavākṛtitayā satatam ||
bhajate:'nanyaprītyā
sa jayatyaruṇācala tvayi sukhe magnaḥ ||5

nīlāravindasuhṛdā sadṛśaṃ prasāde
tulyaṃ tathā mahasi toyajabāndhavena |
brāhmyāṃ sthitau tu pitaraṃ vaṭamūlavāsaṃ
saṃsmārayantamacalaṃ tamanusmarāmaḥ ||

nāmaṃnāmamidaṃ dhāma ramaṇaṃ nāma bhāmatām |
pañcānāṃ padyaratnānāṃ praśastiṃ prārabhāmahe ||1
aruṇācalakāruṇyavaibhavādarśavigrahām |
praṇumaḥ saṃhatiṃ bhāsāṃ bhavāndhatamasadruhām ||2
adbhutaṃ tanmahatkiñcidaruṇācalasaṃjñakam |
iti dhīrasya dhīrasya kācidābālyabhāsinī ||3
svarūpabodhasampannaṃ dhātrīva janakāntikam |
kumāramenamānaiṣīdaruṇācalasannidhiṃ ||4
so:'yaṃ maharṣirbhagavānagāsīdaruṇācalam |
āryāgītibhirāryāṇāṃ vāṇyā pañcabhirujjvalam ||5
aśikṣito:'pi gairvāṇīcchandolaṅkṛtirītiṣu |
darśanenāparokṣeṇa śravaṇādantaraśruteḥ ||6
durgrahāṇyapi tattvāni sugrahāṇyādadhanmuniḥ |
rocayankamanīyena kāvyabandhena gītavān ||7
dīptayā pañcaratnasya prabhayā yaḥ prakāśyate |
cinumastaṃ samāsena ramaṇīyārthasañcayam ||8
aruṇācalasambuddhiḥ pañcasvapi ca gītiṣu |
paramātmani raktānāṃ ratiṃ dhatte rasottarām ||9
hṛdayasya prasādaḥ syād īśvarasya prasādataḥ |
tadihādyena padyena stūyate karuṇārṇavaḥ ||10
nityaḥ samāśrayo viśvasyātmā viśvaṃ tu naśvaraṃ |
hṛdayasthaḥ sa hṛdayaṃ dvitīye pratipāditam ||11
ahamo:'nveṣaṇādantardṛḍhayā śuddhayā dhiyā |
svātmabodhātparā śāntistṛtīye parikīrtitā ||13
mahimā sa maheśasya caturthe sampragīyate |
evaṃ jñānaṃ ca yogaṃ ca prasādāptipurassaram ||14
paraniḥśreyasaprāpterupāyaṃ bhagavānṛṣiḥ |
saṅkīrtya pajhcame prāha paramāṃ bhaktirantime ||15
samarpya cittaṃ sarveśe viśvasminpaśyataḥ param |
ekāntabhakteḥ siddhasya gītā sampadanuttamā ||16
paramātmagamadhvānamevaṃ caritamātmanā |
darśayandeśikendro:'yamastauṣīdramaṇaḥ param ||17
anugrahasamārambhāmātmasiddhikathāṃ nijām |
maharṣerdyotayanneṣa stotrarājo virājate ||18

tadidaṃ bhagavatā ramaṇena maharṣiṇā gīrvāṇavāṇyā āryāgītibhiḥ gītaṃ aruṇācalapañcaratnaṃ nāma padyapañcakaṃ vyākhyāsyate | aruṇācalapañcaratnaṃ > ’pañcānāṃ ratnānāṃ padyaśreṣṭhānāṃ samāhāraḥ pañcaratnaṃ’ > aruṇācalasya pañcaratnaṃ, > pratipādakatvasambandhe ṣaṣṭhī | aruṇācalanirūpitapratipādakatvasambandhavatpadyaratnapañcakamiti yāvat | tasyedamādyaṃ padyaṃ bhavati --

karuṇeti > karuṇayā anukampayā, pūrṇaḥ > samṛddhaḥ > karuṇāpūrṇaḥ, sudhāyāḥ > amṛtapadavācyāyāḥ, abdhiḥ > samudraḥ, > sudhābdhiḥ, karuṇāpūrṇaścāsau sudhābdhiśca > karuṇāpūrṇa sudhābdhiḥ tasya sambuddhiḥ | kiraṇāvalyā > mayūkhamālayā, kabalitaghanaviśvarūpa ! > kabalitaghanaṃ viśvasya rūpaṃ yena tasya sambodhanam | aruṇaḥ > sūryavācī jyotiṣa upalakṣaṇam | tathā cedaṃ taijasaliṅgakṣetramāhuḥ sthalapurāṇavidaḥ | tasmādakṣarasya jyotiṣaḥ paramātmanaḥ sambodhanaṃ bodhyam | tacca jyotirakṣaraṃ paramātmapadavyavahāryaṃ cittakamalavikāsāya bhāsatāmapi caturthacaraṇena prārthayate | cittakañjasuvikāsāya > cittaṃ hṛdayameva kañjaṃ, tasya suvikāsāya > śobhanāya vikāsāya, tvaṃ aruṇaḥ > sūryo bhava | padnāyamānasya hṛdayasya padmabāndhavāyasva bhagavanniti prārthanā |

karuṇā-pūrṇa iti > atra karuṇā anugraha-dṛṣṭiḥ bhavati | anugrahavidhānasamṛddhiṃ lakṣayituṃ karuṇāpūrṇatvaṃ uktaṃ | satyāṃ api anugrahadṛṣṭau sāmagrī hi apekṣyate, yayā sā nirūḍhavyāpārā kṛtakṛtyā syāt | sā ca paramātmanaḥ svarūpaṃ amṛtameva siddham | yena kāruṇyaṃ āśriteṣu-amoghaṃ bhavati | śokamohādeḥmṛtyoḥ amṛtaṃ hi bheṣajam | avyayaṃ > anavadhikaṃ iti dyotayituṃ abdhiḥ iti uktam | anugrahadṛṣṭisamṛddhaṃ śokamohādi-mṛtyupradhvaṃsanaṃ avyayaṃ-anavadhikaṃ-amṛtaṃ paramātmanaḥ svarūpaṃ iti arthaḥ |
aruṇācala-padena akṣaraṃ jyotiḥ abhipretaṃ vyākhyātam | tasya kiraṇāvalyā kabalita-iti-anena, alaukikena jyotiṣā viśvaṃ vyāpya sthīyata iti bodhyam | ’ghanaṃ’ indriyagrāhyaṃ svaviṣṭhaṃ tejasā abhedaprāyaṃ antastamaḥsāndram-iti dyotyate | iyat-anavadhika-ākāśavicarat-bahulagola viśvasya rūpaṃ grāsamātratayā gṛhyate, ataḥ sahajaśaktiviśeṣeṇa-aṃśamātreṇa-idaṃ viśvaṃ sajīvaṃ bhunakti iti bodhayituṃ ’kabalanaṃ’ prāyuñji |

ekaḥ paramātmā amṛtāmbhodhiḥ kāruṇyāspadasya śokamohādimṛtyugrastasya lokasya, viśvakabalanajyotirmayaḥ svayamaprakāśasya bahulabrahmāṇḍasya ghanasya viśvarūpasya, acalaḥ sarveṣu calatsu so:'yamiti pratyabhijñānahetuḥ aśeṣa-svapracārasākṣī, aruṇaḥ kamalāyamānasya hṛdayasya, evaṃ sudhābdhiḥ jyotirmayaḥ acalaḥ sūryaḥ iti ekasya paramātmano bahudhollekhanaṃ hṛdayaṅgamaṃ kāvyarasikānām | ayaṃ ullekhaḥ nāma alaṅkāraḥ |  kiraṇāvali-padena alaukikamayūkhamālinaḥ ākṣepaḥ | caramapāde ca rūpakam | tasmādrūpakollekhayoḥ tilataṇḍulanyāyena melanāt saṃsṛṣṭiḥ |

evaṃ kṛpāsamudrasya paramātmanaḥ anugrahaṃ abhyarthya tasya sākṣātkāryatāṃ sarvakāraṇatāṃ svarūpaṃ nāma ca upapādayati dvitīyena --

nṛtyasi bhoste badanti hṛdayaṃ nāma ||2

tvayi iti > aruṇācala ! bhoḥ jyotirmaya akṣara bhagavan ! tvayi > adhiṣṭhāne ādhāre vā, etat sarvaṃ paridṛśyamānaṃ idaṃ, citraṃ > ālekhyaṃ, bhūtvā > bhavaṃ prāpya, sthitvā > sthitiṃ labdhvā, pralīnaṃ > vilayaṃ gataṃ, ca bhavati, iti śeṣaḥ | so:'si tvaṃ, yataḥ etasya sarvasya jagadrūpacitrasya janma-sthiti-bhaṅgaṃ bhavati | anena jagat-apekṣayā paramātmasvarūpaṃ lakṣitaṃ | sarvasya-asya citratva-uktyā aruṇācalasya citrapaṭa-sthānīyatvaṃ-ākṣipyate | jagataḥ vailakṣaṇyaṃ dyotayituṃ jagat-iti-anuktvā etat-sarvaṃ iti nirdiśya tatra citratvaṃ āropitam | tena citra-sthānīyaṃ jagat citrapaṭasthānīyaṃ paramātmānaṃ > aruṇācalaṃ antarā na gṛhyata iti gamyate | jagat-citrayoḥ sādharmyaṃ tu kalānirmitiḥ iti vācyam | citrakalā-niyamānusāreṇa ālekhyaṃ viracyate | sarjanakalāniyamānusāreṇa jagannirmīyate |

yat-vā, acale tvayi calaṃ sarvaṃ etat janma-antavat bhavati iti etat citraṃ vicitraṃ āścaryam | cala-acalayoḥ tamaḥ-prakāśayoḥ iva virodhe api aghaṭitaghaṭanāpaṭīyasā śaktiviśeṣeṇa tvattaḥ asya sarvasya udaya-astamaya darśanāt | tvat-anyataḥ asya jagat-citrasya na asti kāraṇasāmagrī iti dyotayituṃ tvayi-iti saptamī | yadyapi brahmāṇḍakoṭicitrasyādhāratayā tava avasthānaṃ bhavati, tathā:'pi tasya sarvasya nimittaṃ tvaṃ-antarjvalasi iti uttarārdhena āha |
ātmatayā > ātmanaḥ bhāvaḥ ātmatā tayā, ātmabhāvena hṛdi > hṛdaye > dahare ākāśe ahaṃiti nṛtyasi | asmi iti ahaṃ iti rūpāvatāraḥ > auṇādika-madik-pratyaya-para- kādaseḥ dhātoḥ asmad-śabda-niṣpatteḥ | bhoḥ bhagavan! hṛdaye asmi iti niraṃtaraṃ kuruṣe | ato hetoḥ tava nāma hṛdayaṃ vadanti vijñāḥ iti śeṣaḥ | ahaṃ-iti niraṃtarasphuraṇaṃ eva nartanam | sati eva asmi iti sphurati draṣṭari, asya sarvasya darśanaṃ sambhavati | tatraiva jagat-citra-darśana-adarśanayoḥ vyavahāraḥ sampadyate | paramātmanaḥ nityatvaṃ, anityatā jagataḥ ca anena pratipādite | bāhyasya jagadākāra-citrasya-adhiṣṭhānatayā akhaṇḍasvarūpasya sākṣātkāraḥ tāvat na bhavati, yāvat citradarśanaṃ bhavati | citradarśanāt nivṛttāyāṃ dṛṣṭau citraphalakasthānīyaṃ-akhaṇḍasvarūpaṃ kevalā-anantadṛṣṭiḥ eva avaśiṣyate | sā ca asmitā-pratyaya-āspadaṃ hṛdayaṃ bhavati | tadeva-ahaṃpada-lakṣyārthaḥ aruṇācalākhyaḥ paramātmā, yasmin udayāstamayau lokānāṃ, yasya-eva nartanāt antarvṛttīnāṃ bahirviṣayāṇāṃ ca vyavahāraḥ |

atra śloke pūrvārdhena jagataḥ tatkāraṇasya aruṇācalasya ca citratadādhārātmakaḥ sambandhaḥ pratipāditaḥ |

uttarārdhena jīvasya tadāśrayatayā avasthitasya aruṇācalasya ca svarūpātmakaḥ sambandhaḥ pratipāditaḥ | evaṃ jagadādhāratayā ca yasya-avasthānaṃ tasya aruṇācalasya ahaṃ-pada-paramārthabhūta-hṛdaya-śabdavācyatvaṃ uktam | ata eva uktā tasya sahajanartanakriyā | imāṃ eva māyāṃ āhuḥ eke, yayā sarvabhūtāni bhrāmayan īśvaraḥ hṛdaye tiṣṭhati iti gītāsu (18/61) gītam ||2

atha ahaṃ-arthabhūtena ātmabhāvena nṛtyan aruṇācalaḥ aparokṣaḥ cet sa kathaṃ sākṣātkāryaḥ? ataḥ tat sādhanaṃ āha tṛtīyena --

ahamiti kuta āyātī--
anviṣyāntaḥ praviṣṭayā:'tyamaladhiyā |
avagamyaṃ svaṃ rūpaṃ

śāmyatyaruṇācala tvayi nadīvābdhau ||3

ahaṃ-iti > ahaṃ iti dhīḥ smṛtiḥ vā, kutaḥ > kasmāt, āyāti > āgacchati ? udeti yāvat | iti antaḥ praviṣṭayā > ati amalayā dhiyā, anviṣya > vocitya, sva-rūpaṃ ahamaḥ paramārthaṃ > svarūpaṃ, avagamya > biddhvā, bhoḥ aruṇācala-bhagavan! tvayi śāmyati > śānto bhavati, ahaṅkārī jīva iti śeṣaḥ | abdhau > sāgare, nadī-iva-iti upamānena ahaṃ-dhiyaḥ paramātmani śāntiḥ uktā | ’ahaṃ brahmā:'smi ityādivṛttivicāranirapekṣaṃ svarūpānveṣaṇaṃ sākṣātsādhanaṃ nirālambaṃ upadiṣṭam | sarvasya api ahaṃ asmi iti pratyayaprasiddheḥ ahaṃ pratyayāt paratarasya asiddheḥ ca ahaṃ, ato anveṣaṇena svarūpāgatiḥ bhavati | anveṣaṇakriyā tu ahaṃdhiyā eva sādhyate | tasyāḥ eva svarūpāvagatiḥ pravṛtteḥ | ahaṃdhiyā vṛtti-vikṣiptāyāṃ svarūpajijñāsā eva na jāyate | tasyāṃ svarūpāt anyatra vṛttiṣu viṣayeṣu vā calantyāṃ sattvaṃ aśuddhaṃ bhavati | tīvrajijñāsayā preritā ahaṃdhīḥ sarvārthatāyāṃ avimūḍhā svacchā svarūpaṃ anveṣṭuṃ pravartate | ata eva ’antaḥ praviṣṭayā ati amaladhiyā’ iti uktam ||

atra sādhakaḥ sādhanaṃ siddhiḥ iti trike api ahaṃ-padārthaḥ eva bodhyaḥ | viśeṣavivekaḥ tu evam | ahaṃpada vācyārthaḥ ātmābhāsaḥ tu ahaṅkṛtiḥ, svarūpa-jijñāsuḥ eva sādhakaḥ, svarūpānveṣaṇaparā śuddhasattvā ahaṃdhīḥ eva sādhanam | ātmā hṛdayanāmā sattāpratyayāśrayaḥ, asmi-iti hṛdi sphuran kevalaḥ aparokṣānubhavaḥ,  ahaṃpada-lakṣyārthaḥ eva svataḥsiddhaḥ bhavati | evaṃ sādhanasya ādau madhye ante ca nirantaraṃ ahaṃ eva apratihatārthaḥ bhavati iti avagantavyam | atha sarvāsāṃ vṛttīnāṃ avyayaḥ ahamarthaḥ gatiḥ iti bodhanāya nadīnāṃ sāgaraḥ gatiḥ iti aupamyaṃ uktam | ambhodhi saṅgamāt anantaraṃ yathā nadyāḥ pṛthaksattā vyāpāro vā nāsti, tathā ahami svarūpaṃ prāpte śāntiḥ akhaṇḍā bhavati punarāvṛttiḥ na vidyate | ’sādhako:'haṃ siddho:'haṃ’ iti ahaṃdvayaṃ na iti bodhayituṃ ’so:'hamasmi’ iti draḍhayituṃ ’svaṃ rūpaṃ-avagamya śāmyati’ iti uktam ||

idaṃ ca svātmānveṣaṇarūpaṃ sākṣātsādhanaṃ atyantapakvānāṃ ekeṣāṃ eva sukaram | yeṣāṃ antaḥkaraṇavṛttayaḥ bāhyena viṣayeṇa abādhitāḥ antarmukhatayā avatiṣṭhante, teṣāṃ antaḥpraviṣṭayā śuddhayā dhiyā svarūpānveṣaṇaṃ upadiṣṭaṃ | yeṣāṃ punaḥ, bāhye saktaṃ cittaṃ teṣāṃ sādhanaṃ upadiśati caturthena padyaratnena --

tyakttvā viṣayaṃ bāhyaṃ
ruddhaprāṇena ruddhamanasā:'ntasvām |
dhyāyanpaśyati yogī
dīdhitimaruṇācala tvayi mahīyaṃ te ||4

tyaktvā-iti > bhoḥ aruṇācala paramātman! yogī prāṇarodhena cittarodhe pravṛttaḥ bāhyaṃ viṣayaṃ rūpādiṃ jāgratprajñabhūmi, tyaktvā > vihāya, ruddhaprāṇena > ruddhena saṃyatena prāṇena vāyunā kumbhakena iti yāvat, ruddhamanasā > ruddhena nigṛhītena manasā, manonigraheṇa iti yāvat, tvāṃ paramaṃ antaḥhṛdaye dhyāyan > praṇidadhānaḥ, tvayi adhiṣṭhāne dīdhitiṃ kiraṇaṃ jyotiḥ iti arthaḥ, paśyati > sākṣātkurute | ’iyaṃ te mahī’ iyaṃ yogijanāntardhyānagamyajyotiḥsvarūpā te > tava mahī > citprakāśa-bhūmiḥ iti arthaḥ | yasyāṃ citprakāśa-bhūmikāyāṃ manaḥprāṇasaṃyamavān yogī antarātmadhyānena svarūpaṃ jyotiḥ paśyati, sā tava mahattā iti bhāvaḥ | bāhyaviṣayakaluṣitasya manasaḥ antarmukhatā bāhyaviṣayasaṅgatyāgena sādhanīyā | prāṇaśuddhiḥ kvacit-viṣayasaṅgapradhvaṃsānāya prabhavati | ata eva ruddhaprāṇena iti uktam | apakvapuruṣasya prāṇa bhogecchā-paratantraḥ bhavati, taṃ anudhāvati manaḥ ca | prāṇarodhena viṣayāt-nivṛttiḥ sukarā | manaḥ ca tena vaśayituṃ śakyaṃ iti prāṇaśuddhiḥ manaḥśuddhiḥ ca prāṇāyāmādi-yogāṅgatayā abhyasyete yoginā | viṣayasaṅgaḥ eva aśuddhiḥ | tasmāt nivṛttiḥ iṣyate | tat-upāyaḥ manaḥprāṇarodha-sādhanaviśeṣabalāt sampādyata iti uktam | kevalamanaḥprāṇarodhāt tu na vastusiddhiḥ | tasmāt antardhyānaṃ uktam | yadi antarmukhatvaṃ prāk-eva paripākavaśāt-viṣayākṛṣṭeḥ balīyaḥ bhavet, manorodhaḥ yāvat-apekṣaṃ-ayatnataḥ siddhasyāt | antardhyāna-upakāritvaṃ manaḥprāṇayoḥ avagantavyam | na tu tāvatā eva svarūpāvagatiḥ | tābhyāṃ antargāḍhābhyāṃ layākhyaḥ samādhiviśeṣaḥ eva sidhyet, na tu ātmabodhaḥ | sa ca ahamaḥ paramārthasākṣātkāraṇena bhavati, na punaḥ ahamaḥ vismārakeṇa layayogādinā | tasmādyat-ahaṃ iti smṛteḥ bhānasthānaṃ gamayati, tat sarvaṃ sādhanāṅgatayā svīkāryaṃ iti āśayena jñāna-adhvani bhaktimatā yoginā prāṇasaṃyama-manonigrahopāyaḥ abhimanyate ||      
dīdhitiṃ > paśyati anena śuddhāntaḥkaraṇasacivena antardhyānena yuktasya hṛdaye jyotirdarśanaṃ bhavati iti uktam | idaṃ ca jyotiḥ alaukikaṃ paramātmani aruṇācale svarūpe hṛdaye nityaṃ asmi-iti sphurataḥ ahaṃ-arthasya prakāśakaṃ bodhyam | na iha dṛgdṛśyabheda-abhyupagamāt dvaitāpattiḥ śaṅkyā | antardhyānagamyasya hṛdayajyotiṣaḥ ātmanaḥ ananyatvāt | ahaṃvṛtteḥ anyā eva hi ahaṃ sphūrtiḥ | narmade harastotram! 
svarūpaṃ dhyāyantī ahaṃvṛttiḥ ahaṃsphūrtau paryavasyati iti grāhyam | api ca jyotirdarśanaṃ ātmadarśanāt na atiricyate | darśanaṃ ca sākṣātkāraḥ | prāk-vastusiddheḥ dhyāyataḥ puṃsaḥ jyotirdarśanaṃ hṛdaye paramātmani eva sampadyate | dhyātṛ-dhyeyātmakadvaitasya hṛdi upasaṃhāraḥ iti siddhāntaṃ  draḍhayati ’tvayi paśyati’ iti prayogaḥ | ’iyaṃ te mahī’ iti uktyā, evaṃ yogidhyānagamyajyotirbhūmiḥ akhaṇḍacit-svarūpasya aruṇācalasya iti pratipāditam ||4
atha caikāntabhakteḥ ātmasākṣātkārasampannasya puruṣasya viśvaṃ prati svarūpāt ananyatvena siddhe, tasyāntaḥ-bahiḥ vā akhaṇḍasvarūpaṃ pratyakṣaṃ bhavati iti tasya siddhapuruṣasya sthitiṃ mahimānaṃ ca  padyaratnena pañcamena āha ---

sa jayatyaruṇācla tvayi sukhe magnaḥ ||5

tvayi-iti > bhoḥ aruṇācala! tvayi paramātmani arpitamanasā > arpitena manasā antaḥkaraṇena sarvaṃ viśvaṃ tavākṛtitayā tvat-svarūpabhāvena satataṃ deśataḥ kālataḥ ca nirantaraṃ paśyan yaḥ ityādhāryaṃ caturthacaraṇe tat-śabdaprayogāt yat-tadoḥ-nityasambandhāt ca, yaḥ puruṣaḥ tvāṃ ananyaprītyā ekāntabhaktyā bhajate sevate āśrayataḥ iti arthaḥ, saḥ tathāvidhaḥ sukhe > ānandasvarūpe tvayi magnaḥ > śuddhyarthakān majjateḥ ktaḥ śuddhaḥ gāḍhaṃ āplutaḥ ityarthaḥ jayati > utkarṣeṇa vartate | so:'yaṃ siddhaḥ puruṣaḥ yaḥ jīvan eva muktaḥ jayati, yasmin mānuṣaṃ janma paramaṃ sāphalyaṃ labhate, yasya manaḥ sampūrṇaṃ paramātmani samarpitaṃ tadananyatayā vilasati, yasya cakṣuḥ paramātmānaṃ akhaṇḍasvarūpaṃ sarvatra paśyati, yaśca bahirantarvā aparokṣaṃ ātmārāmaḥ bhajan akhaṇḍānandasvarūpe nimagnaḥ vijayate ||5
pañcavaktrabhākpañcaratnakṛtadbhūmimaṇḍalīmaṅgalāyatām |
ramaṇadeśiko yamavatāṃ vibhurvijayatetarāma vijayatetarāma ||*

ko grantho:'yam ’aruṇācalapañcaratnam’ ?
bhāṣyakārasya ākhyā

ārṣī ramaṇavāgeṣā śrutirveṣāntarasthitā |
stutirvedaśirobhūṣā mumukṣūṇāṃ mudāvahā ||1
nānārucīnāṃ cittānāṃ rocanārthā śivaṅkarī |
dvaitādvaitādivādānāmupasaṃhāradarśinī ||2
jñānena bhaktyā yogena yena kenāpi vā:'dhvanā |
īpsatāṃ paramaṃ dhāma sāmarasyavidhāyinī ||3
bhaktirbhaktaścabhagavāniti yasya dṛḍhā matiḥ |
tasyeyaṃ kalpalatikā bhajanaikārthasādhikā ||4
bharanyāsaprapattibhyāṃ bhajane cenmataṃ tava |
sakhe rahasyaṃ tasyeha dṛśyatāmuta sevyatām ||5
patiḥ paśuḥ pāśa iti tredhā tava matiryadi |
svarūpamiha nirdiṣṭaṃ buddhvā pāśādvimokṣyase ||6
haro haririti dvedhā bhajyatāṃ vā parātparaḥ |
pratyayāveva bhidyete prakṛtirna kadācana ||7
paravastuni sandeho bhrātastvāṃ maiva bādhatām |
sandihānaṃ vicinvānaḥ parasmim̐llīyate dhruvam ||8
layādvinaṣṭiśaṅkā cet svarūpe paramātmani |
budhyasva mātaraṃ tasyā ahammatipiśācikām ||9
ahamo:'nveṣaṇādeṣā bhrāntiḥ sarvā palāyate |
svātmaniṣṭho yato jīvanbandhānmukto vijeṣyate ||10
aśaktiścetsvamanveṣṭu--māśrayasvātmavittamam |
prasarantī prabhā yasya jvalayatyabhito gatān ||11
niśreyasaparā saiṣā bhāṣā bhagavato muneḥ |
jayatvāsūryamācandraṃ pañcaratnastavātmikā ||12
laghvidaṃ pañcaratnasya nirmitaṃ mitavistaram |
gurupraśastisampuṣṭaṃ vyākhyānaṃ hṛdayaṅgamam ||13
ṛjvarthadarśanaṃ yatra na gatiḥ kuṭilādhvagā |
bhānubimbamiva svacche darpaṇe pratibhāsate ||14
abhīṣṭaṃ gurupādānāmidamāsīnna pūritam |
tatprabhāvānubimbena tacchiṣeṇādya tatkṛtam ||15
ramaṇāṅghrisarojāta-rasajñena kapālinā |
kāvyakaṇṭhamunerantevāsinā vāgvilāsinā ||16
kṛtā ramaṇapādābjakiṅkarasyāpi kiṅkṛtā |
satīvyākhyā satāṃ prītyai ramaṇasyeva kalpatām ||17
samprasādamādhurīdhurīṇabhavyabhānubhiḥ
puṣṇatorvibhāstamāṃsi muṣṇatormadantare ||
maunasārasampado rmahaṣipādapadmayoḥ 
pañcaratnadarpaṇaṃ sadarpaṇāya kalpatām ||18||
iti śrīmaharṣiramaṇabhagavatpādānudhyāta-
śrībhagvadvāsiṣṭhagaṇapatimunerantevāsinaḥ bhāradvājasya-
viśveśvarsūnoḥ kapālinaḥ kṛtiḥ pañcaratnadarpaṇākhyā pañcaratnavyākhyā samāptā |

ॐ नमो भगवते श्री रमणाय ॥ 
om̐ namo bhagavate śrī ramaṇāya ॥
