The Reality and The Core Truth
--
From Times immemorial, India has been the cradle of 'Dharma' / 'धर्म' .
The word 'problem' comes from the Sanskrit word 'प्रबलम्'.
The word 'emblem' comes from the Sanskrit word 'अनुबलम्'.
Likewise the word 'semblance' comes from the word Sanskrit ' 'संबलञ्च' or 'संबलं च'.
Just like avalanche comes from the Sanskrit word 'अवलुञ्च'.
The only clue to (understand) this is phonetic derivation that is the key-point of the Sanskrit-Grammar.
So there is a 'Dharma' / 'धर्म' that is synonymous with the Reality.
There is yet another 'Dharma' / 'धर्म' that is synonymous with the manifestation of the Reality.
This 'segregating' could again be derived from the Sanskrit compound word / sentence :
स अग्रे गति which means 'with a movement forward'.
We are taught that there is a 'Supreme' / 'Ultimate' Truth, and there is an apparent / manifest Truth.
We lose touch with the Reality in this segregation. The 'Supreme' / 'Ultimate' Truth becomes a hypothetical entity and the 'world' where we live in is taken as the apparent / manifest Truth.
And we utterly fail to bridge the gap between the two.
So, therefore let us begin with accepting the phenomenal world of our perception as the starting point.
'Dharma' / 'धर्म' has been defined in many ways and at different levels in different parlance.
Loosely speaking; -we translate 'Dharma' / 'धर्म' as nature.
So this is what that prevails in and at all times.
There is no hard and fast code of conduct of following this 'Dharma' / 'धर्म' one should learn about.
'Dharma' / 'धर्म' is spontaneous movement of consciousness for all beings and things living or non-living, (because we tend to segregate 'Life' in these two categories).
This was going on and still goes on despite our efforts of defining and imposing 'Dharma' / 'धर्म' in various ways and even forcing aggressively the same upon the world / people.
The last three centuries and even before that about those two thousand years in the history of the mankind, the 'Dharma' / 'धर्म' was prevalent over the globe as a natural phenomenon.
In the Sanskrit, there are two words that carry two different meanings of 'Manifestation' / 'Phenomenal appearance and disappearance' and the 'Creation and Dissolution'.
Again there is another couple of words; namely 'Formation and Destruction'.
The two words in Sanskrit that mean 'Manifestation' / 'Phenomenal appearance and disappearance' are respectively : सृष्टि and प्रलय।
The two words in Sanskrit that mean 'Creation and Dissolution'. are respectively : प्राकट्य and लय।
The two words in Sanskrit that mean 'Manifestation' / 'Phenomenal appearance and disappearance are respectively निर्माण and विनाश।
Again there are two important words that in a way signify the 'formation' and 'deformation', -'nature' and deviation from the natural course of 'Dharma' / 'धर्म' are : उद्भव / emergence and प्रादुर्भाव / accidental ।
Though 'Sanatana-'Dharma' / 'सनातन-धर्म' prevails timelessly, this उद्भव / emergence and प्रादुर्भाव / accidental are the happening / tricks of 'माया / delusion'. 'माया / delusion' is but a temporary phase of ignorance that takes place because of the उद्भव / 'emergence and प्रादुर्भाव' of a sense of 'duality'.
This sense of 'duality' is lost in deep sleep state, swoon or perhaps in death, and re-emerges during the waking-state always. The individual is but the shadow of this sense of 'duality'.
Thus, the 'individual' is basically undivided, it owns / assumes this sense of 'duality', there-by projecting one's own world.
This is the dual nature of उद्भव / emergence and प्रादुर्भाव / accidental.
In some last few posts I wrote in a Hindi post about how The Palestine is the place of Palms and though 'palm' itself is a cognate of Sanskrit 'फलं' / 'phalaM', in the same place there are locations which could have been referred to in some old Veda-Purana and other Sanskrit texts and suddenly I found out 'Sinai' - Gabal-Musa. Just to point out this again resembles with 'Jabal' / 'जाबाल / जाबालृ, / Gabriel ... and a few minutes ago I was trying see if and how to connect with the Moses (The Prophet).
It is not unusual to see the commonalities between the Jew-texts and the Veda, and as far as I understand and according to my knowledge :
After "the LORD came down upon mount Sinai", Moses went up briefly and returned and prepared the people, and then in Exodus 20 "God spoke" to all the people the words of the covenant, that is, the "ten commandments" as it is written.
The point I would like to suggest is : Moses saw the 'Sacred Fire' and 'The Fire was the word of God'.
This description reminds us about the tradition of the Zoroastrian / जरथुष्ट्र, and most of us know of Zoroaster because of Friedrich Nietzsche, who spun his book based upon this theme.
We all know the the very First stanza in the First book of Veda; namely The Rigveda / ऋग्वेद is dedicated to the 'Fire-God' / अग्नि.
We also know That Buddha began His Search joined with 5 aspirants who worshiped 'Fire-God ' / अग्नि.
Though the Jew Tradition talks of Jehovah, the way it is written and pronounced in the Hebrew is very much like यह्व as is found in Veda many a times.
The only difference is that though Veda and Sanskrit script is written from left to right while the Hebrew (Like the Arabic and the Persian) is written from right to left.

Four days ago I posted 'समस्याएँ अनेक हल एक' (a Hindi post) where I mentioned that no-one now-a-days even talks of a the population-explosion. The politicians talk of 'Progress', 'development', their country, culture, language, religion and 'unemployment', 'poverty' but turn a blind eye to this most important problem that has such grave consequences for the whole humanity and also upon the global life, is ticking away as a time-bomb.
While writing that post I had in mind how 'we' have utterly failed in getting benefit of our 'Sanatana-Dharma' / सनातन-धर्म and got engaged with propagating our individual 'cult' at the cost of the harm to the whole earth and the 'life' of earth.
There are two key-points that need to be paid attention to.
While Classical 'Sanatana-Dharma' / सनातन-धर्म imposes it a duty on the individual to procreate and help the nature in preserving the clan and humanity of noble men (आर्य / Arya), and treats 'विहित-काम' as a means to this, Veda again exhorts that , we should not indulge in sex with the attitude of pleasure (भोग-बुद्धि).
Another key-point is that sex is not a matter of condemnation, ridicule or guilt if one understands how important this gift of nature has its role in life.
What is condemned is the lust where one disrespects the partner by thinking him / her in terms of a consumer-good and not honoring his /her dignity and self-esteem.
This is often true in the case of the males and the male-ego.
The root of the word 'sex' is in fact Sanskrit root-word 'शिष्' - 'शिष्यते' - 'शिक्षा' - 'शिशु' - 'शिश्न' .
'शिष्' - means what remains as a result.
'शिष्यते' - means discipleship.
'शिक्षा' - means 'education'.
'शिशु' - means an infant / a small child.
'शिश्न' - means the (male) organ of generation.
There are other words which corroborate this point.
'Pen' / 'punish', 'Penetration', 'Penile' 'Penalty' 'Penal' all correspond to 'शिक्षा' / 'education'.
Even the word 'Teach' is a cognate (सज्ञाति) of 'शिष्'
Thanks to the Western and the Modern Educationists and scholars that we have lost all touch with the significance and role of sex in human life. We have been far down-fallen even to the level below the animals, who have no 'mental' ramification and hardly think of the act. They don't go pervert as we human tend to become with many complexities of the behavior on the part of our mind.
In Sanskrit 'दण्ड' (to punish) is again used to convey the meaning:
'शास्' - शासयति - शासक - शासित (to govern).
Once we adore sex and its role, respect it in the right perspective, the problem of present day about sex-discipline will just vanish.
Unfortunately we have 'thinking'-habits that prevent us from looking the life straight-forward with the eyes of an innocent.
The same is true about the disease, old-age, death also.
Living a healthy life is far more important than continuing the same with the fear of death for oneself and those who are our relations.
This may look a bit cruel, but accepting life with all its shades is the only way.
If we could live a life of order and sanity, we could not cross-over beyond the limit of population that has been a big problem to us.
This doesn't mean that we should say good-by to the Science and Medicine, but should see that living a natural way of life is rather the simple intelligent way.
We should realize that we have to pay a price for everything.
