Aspects and anomalous character of Time:
©
Physics of Time:
Time has two modes of operation.
One is the Static, and another the Dynamic.
There is time in movement, and there is movement in Time.
In both ways presence of Time could be sensed and detected in two ways.
One is the Time that moves and is measurable in terms of event.
And another is, that doesn’t move and is immeasurable.
What moves could be dealt with as a vector.
What doesn’t move is not scalar, but nor a vector as well.
What doesn’t move is not scalar, because scalar could be expressed in terms of units and numbers.
And, expressing this Time in terms of units or numbers, that doesn’t move, is just untenable.
Chemistry of Time:
Time, as a chemical substance is of two kinds .
Time could be viewed as a catalyst, a chemical that prompts but doesn’t take part in a chemical reaction.
Time could be viewed as a by-product that is obtained as a consequence of a chemical reaction.
Mathematics of Time:
In terms of numbers, Time could be viewed as ‘0’ and ‘1’ as follows:
One is, the Time that doesn’t move is though always present, existence of this ever-present fact could not be verified as a physical and tangible object.
Another is, the Time that takes as if moves and could be measured in terms of lapse of an event in comparison with another event.
Philosophy of Time:
In terms of ‘thought’
Knowledge is concept-based.
Concept is knowledge-based.
This knowledge results into concept and concept into knowledge.
Idea of Time is either a concept or knowledge.
The Time as envisaged in terms of verbal thought and thinking is of the above kind, which keeps one moving into a circle of ignorance about the real character of Time.
Psychology of Time:
A sentient being is endowed with the faculty that is called ‘the mind’ in common language and ‘psyche’ in the individual.
This mind experiences Time as if of having short, small or comparatively big intervals. This time is a moving thing for the individual or the mind. Again, this Time is also a static aspect about it.
Reality of Time:
Time has always a beginning and an end. The Time that has no beginning has no end. For the simple and physical fact that whatever begins ends in Time, how-so-ever short or long.
अक्षरात् सञ्जायते कालः कालात् व्यापकः उच्यते
....(शिव-अथर्व-शीर्षम्)
(akṣarāt sañjāyate kālaḥ kālāt vyāpakaḥ ucyate)
...(śiva-atharva-śīrṣam)
Says this text (part of ऋग्वेद / ṛgveda), which maintains that Time as such is generated from and by the indestructible, imperishable essence that accompanied by Time, manifests, stays and dissolves.
‘In a cycle’ or ‘again and again’, ‘repeatedly’ just don’t apply on this manifestation, sustenance and dissolution.
For the individual as psyche is but an infinitely small a part of the whole, it too becomes manifest, appearing as existing as distinct from the Whole or getting dissolved (with its individual Time) into the essence, the Whole, which is unknowable in terms of thought and concept.
