The Spirit behind The Teachings of Lord Buddha.

Buddha was born as Siddhartha सिद्धार्थ, to His Parents Shuddhodhana शुद्धोधन,  and MAyAdevI (मायादेवी), at Kapilavastu (कपिलवस्तु) in the Kingdom of Nepal (नेत्रपाल). The names indicate He was a born 'JnAnI' (ज्ञानी). The name 'Kapilavastu' (कपिलवस्तु) indicates He was an 'avatAra' (अवतार) of 'Kapilmuni' (कपिलमुनि) the Father of 'sAnkhya-darshana' (सांख्य-दर्शन). It is very important to know that The 2nd chapter of Shrimadbhagvadgita (श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता) is about ‘sAMkhya-darshana' (सांख्य-दर्शन)’ of ‘Kapila’(कपिलमुनि), and many great scholars are of the view that this chapter 2nd concludes the text that has been elucidated only further in the following chapters of  Shrimadbhagvadgita (श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता). The Sanskrit (संस्कृत) word 'darshana' (दर्शन) means vision / sight and not 'philosophy' as we have been taught and never questioned. 'MAyA' (माया) indicates He was son of a mother who exists not. 'Shuddhodhana'(शुद्धोधन) indicates His Father was the Pure spirit mind and intelligence (prajnA) (प्रज्ञा) / Wealth that is never lost, imperishable 'Self' (आत्मन् /ब्रह्मन्). Accordingly, as Kapila-muni (कपिलमुनि), Buddha (गौतम बुद्धा) didn't speak / debate about the existence of 'Ishvara' 'ईश्वर' / 'Atman' (आत्मन् /ब्रह्मन्), though He indirectly referred to 'Atman' (आत्मन् /ब्रह्मन्) in His sermons (श्रवणम् in संस्कृत), like 'Appa dIpo bhava' 'अप्प दीपो भव'/ पालि, 'आत्मदीपो भव'/संस्कृत . Because 'Atman' / आत्मन् is irrefutable Reality no one could ever deny or doubt about. Though Kapila कपिलमुनि talked of 'puruSha' पुरुष as the only Reality, He accepted 'prakriti'/ प्रकृति as the 'vyAvahArika satya' (व्यावहारिक सत्य). But It is the 'puruSha' (पुरुष) who is the only evidence for 'prakriti' (प्रकृति), प्रकृति as such is inert and does not have an individual consciousness though every single being (living object) owes an inherent consciousness (चैतन्य) of oneself and the world around it. 'gau' गौ  is another name of 'prakriti' (प्रकृति) 'Gautama' (गौतम) means the essence of 'prakriti' प्रकृति  i.e. 'puruSha' (पुरुष). 'God' of English 'Gott' in German has roots in this word 'gau'(गौ)  'Gautama' (गौतम). Its not coincidence that Buddha was addressed as BhagavAn (भगवान) or Lord Supreme. Another name for BhagavAn (भगवान) or Lord Supreme is 'ViShNu' (विष्णु). This was the reason He was accepted as an 'avatAra' (अवतार) of Lo'rd Vishnu (भगवान विष्णु) in 'purANa' (पुराण). 'purANa (पुराण) is but elucidated version of वेद . Lord Buddha objected the spirit of violence not the action, because action could never be free from killing in one or other form. But empathy and compassion towards all that exists is the real foundation of the teachings of Buddha that one could understand and follow too.
