'मुद्रा / mudrā' and Meditation.

Is Meditation a 'technique?'
--
I can't say what is the inspiration behind this, but to me this is a 'MudrA'
The index-finger denotes 'Guru' / 'Jupitar' / जीव-पितृ / jīva-pitṛ , 'Zeus-Peter', while the thumb denotes 'the Self'. Joining them together symbolizes the 'meditation' on 'Self'. Again when this sign is formed with the help of right hand this denotes a spiritual level, while with the left denotes the worldly (physical / physiological-anatomical) achievements.
Again, if the fore-finger is pressed against the thumb, it denotes a failure in spiritual practice, but if the thumb is pressed against the fore-finger, it denotes success and blessings.
Q. : यानि दबाव अंगूठे पर पड़ना चाहिए?
(does it mean, the fore-finger should press the thumb?)
A. : Yes. but before knowing this is better.
Q. : Here thumb is pressed against index and middle finger. This is called three finger technique, one of the Silva Techniques to make the right brain active and to relax the brain at alpha level.
A. : So my interpretation has some-where near Silva ! Or rather Silva's technique has a truth behind it.
Q. : I don't know. Nobody ever told about the benefit or symbolism of 'मुद्रा / mudrā'mudraas. But it works.
A. : alpha is the meditation level. But the main thing is, by forming these 'मुद्रा / mudrā' one can not activate the 'alpha-level, but when 'meditation' happens, this 'मुद्रा / mudrā' may help to some extent.
Q. : Yes you are correct.
It is the consciousness (or Guru-Consciousness) that regulates and controls the physical-consciousness, brain, heart and senses of the individual.. The body-chemicals give rise to body-electricity and conversely, the body-electricity gives rise to chemical reactions in the body. Thus (remember Voltaic cell and electrolysis?) the two 'happen' in the presence of a silent observer.
That Silent Observer is the Ultimate Reality.
