A Cause for Asceticism.

The Only Challenge.

--

Just now wrote a post about this in my another blog in blogger.

This was about the only challenge, the world and the humanity as a whole have to face, if they have to survive.

We all could see that

THE ONLY CHALLENGE

before us is :

How to restore the natural population-balance of humans vis-a-vis all the other species our planet has.

Our so-called progress in any field let's not us see that this progress depends on the cruel  destruction of nature and natural resources that could never be compensated and ultimately would lead to the extinction of the our whole civilization. Unless we see this clearly at the individual and the collective level also, we are doomed to become history.

The many attempts to restore this balance are though made by many organizations at various levels, by the politicians, as well as by the organized religions also.

And though may perhaps help in some way to a group or people, but in the overall impact, this is not going in any way to restore this balance of human population in comparison and contrast to all other species and creatures.

On the other hand, wars and diseases keep emerging because of our collective human folly and stupidity, which we are hardly aware of.

In any case, one who is prudent, watchfull of this whole phenomenon may at once realize that unless one turns to asceticism, there is no way to address this collective human challenge.

The means of birth-control and forcing the same over the population at large is itself an irrelevant and impractical option.

ASCETICISM  is no religion but irrespective of whatever religion one has, whatever faith one follows, one can sure see in ASCETICISM his own good and the good for all and even the life and world as a whole also.

This is the only INTELLIGENCE we need, if we would and have to survive.

ASCETICUSM involves various and many a spiritual disciplines, and one practicing Asceticism would always be a rightful religious one, though maybe not strictly one, who follows traditional aspects of any of the religions in vogue.
