आनन्द ही सर्वोपरि है।

The Bliss .

The Bliss is The Supreme.

There is no such thing like :

"The Supreme Bliss".

The Supreme is The Sovereign.

The Preamble of The Constitution of India proclaims :

"We, The People of India, A Sovereign Democratic Republic State / Country..."

And after so many years, the words :

"Secular and Socialist"

were inserted in this Preamble, because this helps some politically motivated vested interests to deny, denounce and reject the Dharma as is enshrined in the Scriptures of The Sanatana Dharma. Then, at first, deliberately, the word : "धर्म / Dharma" was translated into and was replaced by the word "Religion", which was quite unacceptable because it distorted and deformed, the right and the exact sense and the appropriate meaning of the word, as was in the scriptures and was maintained. When the erstwhile P.M. of India asked to an old retired judge of the Supreme Court of India to suggest a Hindi equivalent for the word "Secular", He opined the word : "पंथ-निरपेक्ष".

But the then P.M. insisted that it should be the word  "धर्म-निरपेक्ष".

The judge didn't agree and because of the P.M.'s order the suggestion given by the judge was rejected. Therefore we now have this word "धर्म-निरपेक्ष" with us.

I don't claim how far the information given above is correct or incorrect, but would say, have gathered it through the Net.

The "Bliss" may be the right word, could stand for the Sanskrit word : "आनन्द". -- Joy, Happiness, Pleasure, are the synonyms, but the word "Bliss" implies kind of lasting peace, which may not be there in those all other words.

All and every individual being, not only the human, but other living beings also seek joy, happiness, pleasure. All hate the sorrow, the misery, and the pain. It is because the Bliss is the core-truth and the essential to the spirit आत्मन्  / Self of all. When this "Bliss" seems to have lost, one tries to acquire the same again.

Defining and trying to understand what "Bliss" may mean and to attain, acquire the same, are altogether different facts.

A word "Secular" was referred to in the above lines. And the another word was "Socialist".

"Secular" means mundane, physical or worldly. "Religion" too means the same. But the "Religious" may or may not be the same as the "Spiritual"

Joy, Happiness, pleasure all these are kind of the "worldly", "mundane" things or experiences, and all / any "religious" practice is again the same, While the "Spiritual" and the "Spirituality" is not related in any way to any of these many practices or experience.

In this way, the word "Secular" holds well to denote what could be the spirit behind it as is used in the Preamble.

In simple words, the acceptance of all religions as the equal and individual freedom to follow any of them. This means they may have different views and beliefs, still in the society there is  harmony.

Similarly the word "socialist" could be interpreted in two ways : In The way, where the whole society is subject to concern, or the structure of the whole society, how it should be so that there is harmony between different classes of the society.

Curiously, "The Secular and Socialist" Society is the very foundation of the ancient Vedika Sanatan Dharma, where these two principles hold true and are  concerned.

The four fold division of the society has been based on the natural criteria of the life-pattern of all the living beings.

This is, the "Ashram-Dharma", and all the living beings have to go through it during its entire life-span. Accordingly,

All creatures practically has to live the life of "Brahmacharya", "Grihastha", "Vanaprastha" and "Sannyasa", and no one can escape from this way of life.

Therefore there 4 are called "Ashrama". Again, the four-fold division of all the individuals is based upon the personal attributes, tendencies, inclinations and the actions they would be promoted to perform in life.

The Vedika Sanatana Dharma therefore doesn't talk about the cast, creed, race or even the gender of the individual. Such differences have been imposed on the society because of the tradition and the custom only.

Summarily both the two words, namely the "Secular" and the "Socialist" could be treated in either way and the matter could rest at that.

Either we let the words inserted in the Preamble or remove them from there, we can accept it in both ways.

And accordingly, "Secular and Socialist" perfectly well translates to :

"Sanatana Dharma".

Therefore "Bliss" is the same as "आनन्द", that is never the same as the worldly joy, happiness or pleasure, but entirely different from them, as it really means : the Peace Ultimate and Ever-lasting.

And at all levels, for all. The same has been expressed in the following words :

सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः सर्वे सन्तु निरायमयाः।।

सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु मा कश्चिद्दुःखमाप्नुयात्।।
