The Holy Beacons
--
Q. : No time for the Holy Beacons?
A. : In Feb.1984, I visited this place (Tiruvannamalai) for the first time. Then in 1996, 2002. I translated into Hindi a few works of Sri Ramana Maharshi, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, Sri J.Krishnamurti besides some other such 'Holy Beacons' .
I 'studied' 'Thus spake Zarathustra' of Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, which is in my view like 'The Prophet' by Kahlil Gibran. Again these 2 texts seem to me as if were inspired by Moses's Gospel. Again The Sermon on the Mount too looks similar.
But that is my opinion only.
I don't claim I am correct.
There is a parallel (in fact 2) in "Viveka-ChuDamaNi" of Sri ShankarAchArya, : stanza 340, which beautifully explains this 'phenomenon'. But can't say how far this appeals to people of a different orientation of mind other than 'oriental' / Vedantika.
For me now I AM my Holy Beacon and I AM the pilgrim.
